Ordinary People Extraordinary God Part 2

Hello friends.  So in week 2 of our sermon series entitled "Ordinary People, Extraordinary God" we look at Matthew 4: 18-22.  "As he walked by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea - for they were fishermen.  And he said to them, 'Follow me, and I will make you fish for people.'  Immediately they left their nets and followed him.  As he went from there, he saw two other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John, in the boat with their father Zebedee, mending their nets, and he called them.  Immediately they left the boat and their father, and followed him."

So, Peter, Andrew, James, and John.  4 ordinary people who received an extraordinary call from Jesus.  A call to sow love where there is hate.  A call to sow peace where there is division.  A call to sow mercy and forgiveness where there is judgment and struggle.  A call that 4 ordinary people took by leaving what they knew how to do - fish.  To fish for people by modeling these very qualities with all whom they met.  Modeling these qualities in thought, word, and deed - and by doing so - living a life of discipleship for all the world to see.  Check out the video above friends and have a great week!

In Christ,

PT
